Take That est un boys band britannique créé à Manchester en 1990, connu comme le pionnier du genre au Royaume-Uni.
Ses membres ont été Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald, Jason Orange et Robbie Williams.
Entre le premier single du groupe en 1991 et sa dislocation en 1996, la BBC a décrit Take That comme "le groupe britannique au plus grand succès depuis les Beatles, aimé autant par les jeunes que par les vieux." Les musiques pop-dance et les ballades du groupe ont dominé les ventes de disques au Royaume-Uni dans la première partie des années 1990, avec notamment deux des albums les plus populaires de la décennie ("Everything Changes", 1993 et "Greatest Hits", 1996), et selon All Music Guide, "à cette époque Take That étaient des superstarsen Europe, et la question principale n'était pas s'il allaient faire un hit, mais, combien et lesquels seraient numéro 1.
En 1995, Robbie Williams a quitté le groupe et a entamé une carrière en solo.
Le groupe s'est séparé en 1996 mais, après un documentaire en 2005 et la sortie d'un album greatest hits, ils ont organisé la deuxième plus grande tournée de l'an 2006 au Royaume-Uni, après celle de leur ancien membre Robbie Williams.
